Filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava along with screen-writer Kanika Dhillon, actor Adil Hussain and more expresses their grief as veteran actor Lalit Behl passed away due to COVID-19 related complications. He was 71 years old.
Actor Lalit had appeared in the critically-acclaimed films Titli (2014) and Mukti Bhawan (2016). He’s the father of film director Kanu Behl.
Filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava took to her social media and expressed her grief, she shared, “So saddened to hear of the death of #LalitBehl. He was such a fine actor and a really wonderful human being. Loved him in Titli and Mukti Bhawan. Had the honour of directing him in Made In Heaven. Such precious memories! Sir you will be sorely missed”
Writer Kanika Dhillon wrote, “RIP #LalitBehl Ji. @KanuBehl prayers with the family”
Actor Adil Hussain who has worked with the late actor, shared, “Extremely saddened by the demise of one of my dearest and most respected Co-actors, Lalit Behl jee. Who, so brilliantly played the father in @MuktiBhawan! I feel the loss of my father again! Dear Kanu I am so very sorry for your loss!”
Lalit’s last appearance was in Judgementall Hai Kya and the Amazon series Made in Heaven.
He had started out as a stage actor and also directed and produced Tele-films for Doordarshan.
