Actor Ajay Devgn just took to his social media profile and confirmed his next movie, titled GOBAR, he will be collaborating with Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sabal Shekhwat for the real life drama.
Sharing the news, Ajay Devgn shared with a picture with producer and filmmaker and tweeted, “Joining forces with @roykapurfilms to bring you an aMOOsing story from the heartland of India - GOBAR! #SiddharthRoyKapur #SabalShekhawat #SambitMishra @Meena_Iyer @KumarMangat @malvika25”
Set in the agrarian area of Northern India known as the “cow belt,” during the 1990s, “Gobar!” (literally cow dung or bullshit) is a satire inspired by real events that transpire when an idiosyncratic animal-loving veterinary doctor chances upon a tangled web of corruption in his local state hospital, and decides to stand up against it.
Well-known advertising filmmaker Sabal Shekhawat, who debuted with the acclaimed 2013 indie “Fireflies,” will direct from a script he co-wrote with Sambhit Mishra (“Mission Over Mars”).
Apart from Gobar, Ajay is busy with period soccer drama Maidaan, directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
Ajay Devgn is also busy wrapping up his third directorial Mayday which stars himself and Amitabh Bachchan. He will also be seen in Thank God – a comedy by Indra Kumar.
