After a series of posters and teasers, the makers of Thalaivi are out with first song, Chali Chali from the forthcoming biographical drama starring Kangana Rananut in the lead role.
Thalaivi is based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor J Jayalalithaa, the first song Chali Chali, captures the ‘golden era of Jayalalithaa’.
The official handle of T-Series dropped the song on social media. The song has been sung by Saindhavi Prakash and its lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. The song chronicles Jayalalithaa’s journey in the Indian cinema. It has Kangana recreating many looks of the late actor, starting from her debut movie. She looks gorgeous as she replicates the charm that Jayalalithaa exuded on screen in her heydays.
Helmed by A. L. Vijaym the film also stars Arvind Swami, Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthirakani, Raj Arjun, Madhu Bala, Thambi Ramaiah, Poorna, Bharath Reddy, Vidya Pradeep and Shanmugarajan among others.
The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on 23rd April 2021.
