Shriya Pilgaonkar has made her own place in the industry with her choice of films and roles. She is an amazing actress and truely proves that acting runs in her genes. The actress is soon going to be seen in Haathi Mere Saathi which is releasing on 26th March in theatres. The actress spoke to us about her excitement for the same.
The film which was supposed to be released last year in April is finally releasing after waiting for a year. Talking about the same, she said, "The real battle for the film has now started. I hope people go and watch this film in the theatres. All precautions from the cinema hall point of view will be taken but people should also adopt safety measures. They should wear their mask, sanitise their hands and maintain social distance while going for the film."
She further added, "Haathi Mere Saathi is going to be an audio visual treat for the audience. The makers waited for one year to release it in theatres and I am sure this wait is going to be worth for the audience."
When asked, if there is any connection of this film with the old film that was released in 1971, she said, "There is no connection between the two films. Instead, our film is playing the old film forward. I hope people give the same love to our film that was given to the old one. It is a family entertainment which everyone should go and watch in theatres. "
Haathi Mere Saathi or Kaadan is directed by Prabhu Solomon. The film is a trilingual and was shot simultaneously in Tamil as 'Kaadan, Telugu as 'Aranya' and Hindi as 'Haathi Mere Saathi', each with slightly different cast members. The film tackles with the issue of global warming and deforestation and focuses on real life events of conservation of elephants.
The film is all set to release in theatres on 26th March.
