Rohit Roy is a known name in the television as well as the film industry. In a career span of 26 years, he has given some amazing performances and his fan following is huge today. The actor will soon be seen in season 4 of Maaya, being directed by Krishna Bhatt. He spoke to News Helpline about the show and much more.
Talking about being a part of Maaya 4, he said, "I am very happy to be a part of Maaya 4. It's always great to be a part of a successful franchise. But working in a successful franchise comes with a lot of responsibility. Three seasons of Maaya have been super hit and now we have the responsibility to make its fourth season a hit"
Sharing his work experience with Krishna Bhatt, he said, "This is very emotional for me because I have worked with her grandfather, her father and now her. She is a very young girl who has great depth. Since she is Vikram's daughter, I have a double responsibility. Mostly, with my work experience, I do not listen to anyone. But she has directed me so well that she takes the whole scene to another level."
Talking about his character in the show, he said, "I play a character who is from a small town and becomes a lawyer. But his dreams are big and therefore he dreams of becoming the biggest lawyer in a big city. Here his ambitions take a toll on his married life. The audience will have tears of happiness and a smile on their face after they will watch this show."
He further added, "My character is very different in this show as compared to what I have done before. He is a very soft spoken and innocent man."
On the work front, Rohit will soon be seen in Sanjay Gupta's Mumbai Saga. It is a gangster drama and stars an ensemble cast including John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover and Sharman Joshi. The film is scheduled to release on 19 March.
