After announcing Scam 2003 series, the Applause Entertainment confirms a new movie, featuring Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead role. The film is untitled yet but it will be a remake of super-hit Tamil movie Aruvi.
The film will be helmed by filmmaker E Niwas, who is a recipient of the National film award for 'Shool' (1999). The upcoming movie will see Fatima portraying a fiery, eponymous character made memorable by Aditi Balan in the Tamil original. The film is being produced by Applause Entertainment and Faith Films.
The official handle of Applause Entertainment confirmed the film. It tweeted, “Applause Entertainment & Faith Films are thrilled to announce the Hindi adaptation of genre-bending Tamil smash-hit, Aruvi. Starring the gifted Fatima Sana Shaikh, this audacious film will be directed by ace director, E Niwas”

After Ludo, Fatima was last seen in Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, a satirical comedy-drama directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Zee Studios. The film also starred Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh.
