Since yesterday, makers are announcing release dates of their films back to back and looks like year 2021 is already jam packed with new films. Karan Johar has also now announced the release date of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer film Shershaah. The film will hit the cinemas on 2nd July, 2021.
Sharing the news, Karan wrote, "The larger than life untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is ready to be unravelled on the big screens. We're honoured to be showing this journey- #Shershaah in cinemas on 2nd July 2021, starring Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani. Directed by Vishnu Vardhan. See you at the movies!"
Shershaah is a biographical war action film directed by Vishnu Vardhan and co produced by Karan Johar. It traces the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra. Sidharth will be seen essaying the role of army captain Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal. Kiara Advani will be seen opposite him.
The film will hit the theatres on 2nd July, 2021.
On the work front, Sidharth will be seen in 'Mission Majnu' that celebrates hard work of the RAW agents. The film is based on real life events. It is directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by RSVP and Guilty By Association.
He will also be seen in Indra Kumar's 'Thank God'. The film is an entertaining slice of life comedy with a message. It stars Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh alongside him in lead roles. The T-Series Films and Maruti International production is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit , Markand Adhikari and co produced by Yash Shah.
