Recoveries remain higher than new Covid cases in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Feb 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Maintaining the trend, recoveries remained higher with 486 patients discharged while 414 new Covid cases were reported in Karnataka, said the state health bulletin on Sunday.

'Recoveries in the state rose to 9,27,150, with 486 discharged in the last 24 hours, while 414 new cases on Saturday increased the state's Covid tally to 9,45,270, including 5,836 active cases," said the bulletin.

 

Only two deaths were reported due the infection, including one from Bengaluru and another from Kalaburagij, taking the state's Covid tally to 12,265 so far.

Of the 132 patients in the intensive care units, 64 are in Bengaluru and 13 in Kalaburagi in the state's northern region, while the rest are spread across the southern state.

Out of 60,876 tests conducted during the day, 2,923 were through the rapid-antigen detection and 57,953 through RT-PCR method.

Positivity rate was 0.68 per cent and case fatality rate 0.48 per cent across the state on Saturday.

Till Sunday, 4,09,836 healthcare warriors were vaccinated, achieving 50 per cent of the 8,21,939 of the beneficiaries.

Likewise, 86,787 frontline warriors took the shot, accounting for 30 per cent of the 2,88,278 registered beneficiaries.
