Actress Rakul Preet Singh is all set to share-screen space with Ayushmann Khurrana in the forthcoming Doctor G.
Ayushmann and Rakul will play Dr Uday Gupta and Dr Fatima, respectively, in the Anubhuti Kashyap directorial.
The official handle of Junglee Pictures confirmed the news on social media. They tweeted, “Introducing the next doctor to the cast of our next film Doctor G, Rakul Preet, Welcome on board! @rakulpreet @ayushmannk @anubhuti_k #SumitSaxena @Saurabhbharat @vishalwagh21”
Confirming the same, Rakul took to Twitter to post, “Yayyyyy!!! Soooo excited!! Can’t wait to start shooting”
The film is written by Anubhuti, Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh, and Saurabh Bharat and is slated to go on floors soon. In December, Ayushmann had announced the film with a photo of himself posing with the script of the movie. This marks Ayushmann's third collaboration with Junglee Pictures, after Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017) and Badhaai Ho (2018).
Apart from 'Doctor G', Rakul will also be seen in Ajay Devgn's 'MayDay', co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. She also has another movie titled 'Thank God', co-starring Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra, in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Ayushmann, is currently shooting for director Abhishek Kapoor's 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' in the titular city. The movie also stars Vaani Kapoor and is expected to release in 2021.
