Madhur Bhandarkar Helmed India Lockdown Goes On Floors

Based on pandemic induced lockdown, Madhur Bhandarkar’s next India Lockdown, has gone on floors. The filmmaker shared the picture of Mahurat shot with ensemble cast.

The film is inspired by true events, 'India Lockdown' Prateik Babbar, Saie Tamhankar, and Aahana Kumra in the lead roles. The film will revolve around the emotional, mental, and financial repercussions of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has wreaked havoc worldwide.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar took to his social media and shared, “Shooting starts of film #IndiaLockdown @prateikbabbar @SaieTamhankar @AahanaKumra @shweta_official @ShihabZarin #PrakashBelawadi @pjmotionpicture @pranavjain27 #IndiaLockdown”

The upcoming film will be bankrolled by PJ Motion Pictures and Bhandarkar Entertainment. The film was officially announced in December, last year.

The movie marks the comeback for director Bhandarkar, who has been intrigued by the universal impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on people, irrespective of strata and demographics. Through India Lockdown, he is set to explore the various facets of this fascinating subject.
