Voters speak out, dismayed by unrest at Capitol and say it's best if Trump stays away from inauguration. (Jan. 8)
Trump indicated early Friday he would not be in attendance when President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office.
"There's been a long historic tradition of passing the torch from president to president and I feel as though Trump has dropped that torch and it's not for him to pick it up. It's for us to pick it up," said Quentin Wedderburn, a Georgia resident.
Others were not surprised by the week's developments.
"Why would I be surprised? This is what the president has been stoking all along. And this is just the natural turn of events that would happen when a leader riles up his crowd," said Ratib Habbal, a Michigan resident.
