Actor Irrfan Khan though is no more among us, but his son Babil Khan has kept his father’s memory alive in the hearts of his fans by sharing throwback photos and videos.
Today, 7th January marks the 54th birth anniversary of late veteran actor Irrfan Khan. Babil remembering his father celebrated the English Medium actor’s birthday on his Gram.
Babil shared a video that featured other members of Irrfan Khan's family, including wife Sutapa Sikdar and his younger son Ayaan. It can be seen that the late actor is asking about Babil, presumably over a video call, and his mother is screaming out his name as he is away from them and they are missing him. Babil in his post also stated that when his father was alive he would never remember his birthday. But now as he has gone, he just can’t forget to celebrate.
Babil wrote, “You never identified with institutions such as contractual marriage and birthday celebrations. Perhaps, that is why I don’t remember anyone’s birthdays because you never remembered mine and never encouraged me to remember yours. It was just normal to us what seemed absurd from the outside, we celebrated everyday (bringing personal experiential authenticity to the cliche). On the occasion, Mamma would have to remind us both; but this time I could not forget yours if I tried”

Babil Khan is the eldest son of Irrfan Khan. Ever since the late actor died last year on April 29, Babil has shared a couple of unseen pictures of the former. His social media feed is flooded with numerous videos and photos, feat Irrfan.
