Dia Mirza extends New Year wishes to her fans; says we need to focus on ‘spirit of giving’ for next few years

Actress Dia Mirza, who was last seen onscreen in Anubhav Sinha directorial ‘Thappad’, has wished her fans and followers peaceful, healthy and prosperous New Year. She added saying that a lot of people have suffered this year due to global pandemic so, we need to develop ‘spirit of giving’ for the next few years.

Dia Mirza was interacting with the News Helpline at Bombay Times Fashion Week event on Wednesday in Mumbai.

Extending New Year wishes to her fans, Dia said, “I would like to wish people a peaceful, healthy and prosperous new year. People have suffered a lot this year, so I hope that we try to solve needy people’s problems. I think we should focus on the ‘spirit of giving’ for the next few years.”  

One of Nation’s most talked about fashion events - Bombay Times Fashion Week is back and this time, ready to widen its reach by knocking each door with its first ever Virtual Edit due to Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Bombay Times Fashion Week Virtual Edit 2020 showcased an array of gorgeous designs on the ramp and it is being shot at Island City Centre by Bombay Realty.

Talking about virtual edition of Bombay Times Fashion Week, Dia said, “This year has been a unique year for everyone and we have to adapt to changing times, so this year’s Bombay Times Fashion Week will be done virtually. In a way it’s good because the designs will reach people at an intimate level. Team of Bombay Times Fashion Week is working really hard to shoot these shows in a creative manner for the audience. I am sure people are going to enjoy these shows while watching it at their homes."

Talking about her upcoming projects, Dia said, “Thankfully, I was able to shoot for some of my projects at the end of this year. I have done some interesting shows for OTT platforms. I have also done a film called ‘Wild Dog’ along with Nagarjuna (Akkineni) sir. It's my first Telugu film which will be released next year, so I think 2021 promises many new beginnings for all of us.”

Talking about her role in her upcoming film ‘Wild Dog’, Dia said, “It is an action film and I have been a part of action films in the past but I am playing a very dramatic and emotional character in this film.”

‘Wild Dog’ is written and directed by debutant Ashishor Solomon. Starring Nagarjuna, Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher and Atul Kulkarni, the film is produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy under the Matinee Entertainment banner.
