Actress Saiee Manjrekar, who will next be seen in a film titled ‘Major’, has said that she can’t wait to know audience feedback for her upcoming biographical war drama after its theatrical release.
Saiee Manjrekar was interacting with News Helpline at Bombay Times Fashion Week on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Saiee made her Hindi film debut opposite superstar Salman Khan in ‘Dabangg 3’ which released in 2019.
Talking about her upcoming film, Saiee said, “A few days back, we released the first look of ‘Major’. We are doing pretty well as far as far shooting of the film is concerned. I am quite happy and content with the way it is shaping up. I can’t wait to know the audience reaction after they watch the trailer and the film itself in the cinema halls.”
Based on the life of real-life Hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, ‘Major’ represents how this valiant soldier saved the lives of numerous hostages before being martyred by the terrorists who wreaked havoc in the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, India on the 26th of November, 2008.

Talking about Bombay Times Fashion Week, Saiee said, “When I got to know that it’s a digital show, I was relieved because I get quite nervous while walking the ramp. I know that you get a second chance to rectify your mistake in front of the camera, so I was actually very happy about it. I think it is very important that we stay indoors and stay safe in such circumstances. I am happy that we are finding different ways to adapt, overcome challenges and obstacles and doing what has been done all these years. I think it’s a very necessary change and I am glad that we are accepting it in a positive manner.”
Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, a pan India bilingual film, shot in Hindi and Telugu, ‘Major’ stars Adivi Shesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi, Murali Sharma in leading roles.
Produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies, Major is slated to release in summer 2021.
