Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan's 'Coolie No. 1' got released yesterday on Amazon Prime and the film is garnering good response from the audience. After a dull year, people are happy to celebrate the festivities by watching this entertaining movie.
Varun Dhawan also took to his social media account to thank his fans for giving them so much love. He wrote on instagram, "Thank u for the love And thank u for making the #coolieno1 the highest viewed film on Christmas Day across all ott platforms."
The film Coolie No 1 is a remake of David Dhawan's original 'Coolie no. 1' which was released in the year 1995. Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer film was loved by the audience then and the same trend continues as Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan's film is also impressing the audience.
The plot of the film is: Jeffery Rozario (Paresh Rawal) a Goan hotelier wants his daughter Sarah (Sara Ali Khan) to marry a millionaire. Raj a porter/coolie (Varun Dhawan) falls in love with her and pretends to be a tycoon. What happens next is a laughter joy ride with hard-core entertainment.
Post this film, Varun will be seen in Raj Mehta's 'Jug Jug Jeeyo' which is romantic drama being produced by Dharma Productions. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead roles alongside Varun.
