Year 2020 was certainly a good year for Saqib Saleem with two releases; a web show 'Crackdown' and a film 'Comedy Couple' and his performance in both the projects was lauded by the audience. The actor remembers his show 'Rangbaaz' as it completed two years of its release.
Sharing some stills from the show, Saqib wrote,"Two years of Rangbaaz...Humko jaanne ke liye aur phamous karne ke liye shukriya. Thank you for loving the show."
This show indeed gave the required fame to Saqib and people recognised his amazing acting skills through this show.
Rangbaaz is ZEE5 original web series set against the backdrop of Gorakhpur in the 1990's. It is based on the true story of Shri Prakash Shukla who was a notorious gangster and the most wanted criminal of Uttar Pradesh at that time. Owing to the success of the show, in 2019, a second season of the show 'Rangbaaz Phirse' was released.
Show was directed by Bhav Dhulia and featured Saqib Saleem, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ranvir Shorey, Aahana Kumra and Ravi Kishan.
On the work front, he will next be seen in Kabir Khan's '83' which is a sports drama film. It is jointly produced by Kabir Khan, Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone and Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will focus on the country's incredible cricket World Cup victory in 1983.
Film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev. It also features Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Sahil Khattar, Nishant Dahiya and Amrita Puri.
