Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna are paired for the first time in Shantanu Bagchi's next Mission Majnu. The thriller will feature Sidharth as a RAW agent, who leads the mission. This film marks the south superstar Rashmika Mandanna's most-anticipated Bollywood debut and also the directorial debut of ace ad filmmaker, Shantanu Bagchi.
The film has been written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arrora, and Sumit Batheja. After Uri: The Surgical Strike, producer Ronnie Screwvala will now co-produce Mission Majnu with Amar Butala and Garima Mehta. The film is based on real events set in the 1970s’.
Apart from Mission Majnu, actor Sidharth Malhotra will soon be seen in Shershaah, which is a biographical war action film directed by Vishnuvardhan and co-produced by Karan Johar. Tracing the life journey of Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra, it stars Sidharth Malhotra in a double role, as Batra and his identical twin brother Vishal; Kiara Advani plays the role of Dimple Cheema. This also marks Vishnuvardhan's directorial debut in Bollywood and Hindi film.
