'Valasa' getting ready to be released on 1st January 2021
The film 'Valasa' is based on the lives of the lakhs of migrant labourers who have taken to roads, becoming jobless overnight with the declaration of lockdown, due to Covid. This film shooting has taken place around Visakhapatnam District during the lockdown period. Story of the film is based on case studies of real life characters and incidents that haven taken place during this Covid Crisis.
Film producers has said that this film doesn't only show the suffering of migrants with their families and kids travelling hundred of kilometres on foot and roads but has attempted to capture and reflect the human relations, bonds, love, friendship and their simple joys in this extraordinary human journey.
Circumstances led to Cities abandon their Migrant labourers, who built the cities themselves.The roads which are also constructed by the migrants have lead the path back to their native places, the humanity they have witnessed in the people they have come across during this journey and the way in which they have taken care of the suffering people is depicted in the film.
