Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Hassan wished legendary actor Dilip Kumar, as the Mughal-e-Azam actor turned 98 today.
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted, “To the one and only, who amazed and inspired the world by just being himself. Wishing the legendary @TheDilipKumar a Happy Birthday. I cherish & remember every time we’ve met in vivid detail & you have always loved me like your own. Love you tooo much. Have a good one Dilip Sahib”
In a career spanning over five decades, Kumar worked in over 65 films. Kumar is known for roles in films such as the romantic Andaz, Babul, Deedar, Devdas, the epic historical Mughal-e-Azam (1960), the social dacoit crime drama Gunga Jamuna (1961), and the comedy Ram Aur Shyam (1967).
Actor Kamal Hassan penned down a few words for Dilip Kumar, he wrote, “To my dearest Yusuf Khan Saheb / Shri. DIlip Kumar Ji My salute to one of the greatest living Indian artistes in Cinema. Happy birthday sir and I place my gratitude for setting a benchmark half a century ago, for today's artistes to follow”
