Right after the unlock 5.0 regulations were put to place and theaters were permitted to re-open, Dil Raju planned to release Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab next Sankranthi. He felt that Vakeel Saab would have the advantage of being the first biggie to release in theaters after the lockdown.
However, things have changed considerably now, given the uncertainty over footfalls at movie theaters.
Vakeel Saab is a reasonably big-budget film and theatrical revenue will hold key if the producers are to make any profits from it. So, Dil Raju is not willing to take the risk of releasing Vakeel Saab next Sankranthi.
Apparently, the noted producer has pushed Vakeel Saab release to next summer. He opines that the Covid-19 situation might settle down by then and audience would be ready to step out to to watch movies in theaters.
