On the last day for campaigning for the next week's civic body polls in Hyderabad, Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah will be visiting the city to make a last-ditch attempt to woo voters.

Shah, who is scheduled to reach here at 10.30 am, will begin his campaign trail with a visit to Bhagyalakshmi Devi temple followed by a roadshow in Sanath Nagar, Khairatabad and Jubilee Hills constituency in Secunderabad.

The home minister, who will be in the city for around nine hours, is also scheduled to hold a press conference in the afternoon before leaving for New Delhi in the evening.

The BJP's high-pitched campaigning for the local election is being seen as the party's attempt to make deep inroads in Telangana ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections in the state.
