Finally, the nightmare that is the US Presidential Election is sort of over. President Trump has tweeted that he is recommending that GSA Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have also told his team to do the same in regards to Presidential transition.
Even though Trump never conceded his loss to President-Elect Biden, this may be as close as we may get to that. Even in the tweet, he implied that his team is still fighting the election.
He tweeted "I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good...
...fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same."
There is also a lot of speculation on Twitter that Tweet could have come from someone on Trump's team.
CNN is already reporting that Emily Murphy at GSA has sent a letter Monday afternoon informing President-elect Joe Biden that the administration is ready to begin the formal transition process.
