Actor Abhishek Bachchan headed back to Kolkata to start second schedule of his upcoming film crime thriller film ‘Bob Biswas’ on Monday. The official announcement of the film was made by Shah Rukh Khan's proudction house Red Chillies Entertainment in November 2019. Makers of the film wrapped up its first schedule in February 2020.
Abhishek shared a picture of himself seated in the flight that landed in Kolkata on his Instagram handle, he wrote, “#BackToBeingBob Stay safe everyone. Travel safe. #maskon keep your mask on.”
In the picture, he is seen dressed in a black coloured hoodie and following safety precautions against the coronavirus by wearing a face shield and mask.
The film revolves around the character of Bob Biswas featured originally in Vidya Balan and Parambrata Chatterjee starrer blockbuster 'Kahaani', essayed by Saswata Chatterjee in the film. The spin-off also features Chitrangada Singh, Amar Upadhyay, Deepraj Rana, Purab Kohli and Tina Desai in pivotal roles.
‘Bob Biswas’ is directed by debutant director Diya Annapurna Ghosh and written by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will be produced by Gauri Khan, Sujoy Ghosh, and Gaurav Verma.
Abhishek Bachchan was last seen onscreen in Anurag Basu directorial ‘Ludo’ along with an ensemble cast. He will also playing titular role in upcoming biographical crime film which is directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit Vikrant Sharma and Kumar Mangat Pathak.
The storyline of the film revolves around stockbroker Harshad Mehta's life involving his financial crimes over a period 10 years, from 1980 to 1990. It stars Abhishek Bachchan as Mehta,Nikita Dutta and Ileana D'Cruz in supporting roles.
