Filmmaker Abhishek Sharma says that he is grateful to Aamir Khan for stepping out to watch his movie, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari in theaters, has not only boosted his moral but eventually help Exhibitioners, which is crucial.
Aamir Khan along with her daughter Ira Khan stepped out to watch Zee Studios bankrolled Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari in a theater.
Expressing his gratitude to Aamir Khan on the sidelines of a special screening held for Mumbai cops and their families, filmmaker Abhishek Sharma said, “I would like to thank Aamir Khan for coming to a theater to watch Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, because I know he didn’t just ventured out to watch the movie, he wanted to support exhibitioners as well, which is crucial right now. And I would like encourage my friends in film fraternity that try to release your films in theaters as soon as possible. So that the theaters have more content to run this is really important right now”
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Diljit Dosanjh and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is the first Hindi film to release on the big screen after re-opening of theatres.
When asked about being a flag-bearer for Exhibitioner, Abhishek said, “I am very small artist and I don’t consider myself as flag-bearer, but there is an old saying, who will bell the cat? The entire team, including me, artistes and Zee studio, decided that we will bell the cat. And thankfully the public perception is good and with good word of mouth, people are coming to watch the movie”
