Action superstar Sylvester Stallone has wrapped the shoot of the forthcoming superhero movie Samaritan, and shares a video post with entire cast and crew on his social media profile.
Samaritan is a superhero thriller film directed by Julius Avery, produced by Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood from a screenplay by Bragi F. Schut.
The film stars Stallone in the lead role, along with Martin Starr, Javon Walton, Moisés Arias, Dascha Polanco, Pilou Asbæk, and Jared Odrick in supporting roles.
Stallone captioned his video post, “I will miss working on this production with the cast and crew and Attention to every detail by our wonderful Director Julius Avery and producer BRADEN AFTERGOOD and our fearless army of stunt men! Entire crew was tested down to the last person every day for Covid which amounted to thousands upon thousands of Tests and we came through like Champs! Yes, this moment in time will always hold a special place in my heart, keep punching! #samaritan @onwardwanna #mgm”
The film focuses on a young boy coming to realizing on a famed superhero is at large after a battle. The project has been described as "A dark, new take on the superhero genre".
Samaritan is scheduled to be released on June 4, 2021 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
