Actress Anushka Sharma, who is expecting her first child celebrated this year’s Diwali by eating and dressing up at home without the presence of her husband Virat Kohli. ‘Sultan’ actor recently returned to Mumbai after a long stay in the UAE where her cricketer husband Virat Kohli was playing in the Indian Premiere League.
Sharing a few pictures on her Instagram handle, Anushka gave her fans and followers a glimpse of her Diwali celebration, she captioned it as, “Got all dressed up to sit at home and eat. And it was great. Hope you all had a beautiful Diwali.”
In the pictures, Anushka is looking beautiful in an ivory kurta-churidar and she can be seen posing for the camera. Anushka’s friends from the film industry such as Katrina Kaif, Mouni Roy, Sonali Bendra, Kajal Aggarwal and Patralekhaa praised her recent pictures in the comment section.
Anushka and Virat are expecting their first child in January next year. Currently, Virat is away in Australia as India plays the Aussies in their first big tournament after Covid lockdown. However, the cricketer will be back home soon as he has been granted paternity leave by the Board of Control for Cricket in India after the first two tests.
Anushka Sharma was last seen onscreen in Anand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif which released in 2018. After that, she produced a film titled ‘Bulbbul’ and web series titled ‘Paatal Lok’ unger her production house for two different OTT platforms.
Anushka hasn’t announced her upcoming project due to her pregnancy however her hit films such as ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Sultan’ are being screened at PVR Cinemas, INOX and Cinepolis theatres during 12th to 19th November as Yash Raj Films is celebrating their 50th anniversary in the film
industry.
