Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra completed 27 years in Hindi film industry on Thursday. In her social media post, Shilpa talked about her debut film ‘Baazigar’ which released in 1993. The blockbuster revenge drama film is directed by Abbas-Mustan and it also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in leading roles.
Sharing a video on her Instagram handle, Shilpa wrote, “#27YearsOfBaazigar It feels unreal... it’s been 27 years since Baazigar released, and I was welcomed by the fraternity & the audience with open arms.. I have nothing but tremendous gratitude for all the love and support that you’ve sent my way every day. Thank you for being my strongest support all along Congratulations, Team Baazigar Thank you @jainrtn for believing in me constantly, ready for some more #Hungama.. In the video, Shilpa can be seen talking about the film and sharing some interesting behind the scenes stories with a journalist.
‘Baazigar’ earned her two Filmfare Awards nominations for Lux New Face of the Year and Best Supporting Actress.
In her 27 long film career, Shilpa has featured in some of the notable films such as ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Dhadkan’, ‘Phir Lilenge’, ‘Dus’, ‘Life in a… Metro’, ‘Apne’ and among others.
Shilpa next will be seen onscreen in Sabbir Khan’s action romantic comedy film ‘Nikamma’ along with Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia.
She is also a part of Priyadarshan’s upcoming comedy film ‘Hungama 2’ along with Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash.
