IANS-CVoter only exit poll to accurately predict vote share

New Delhi, Nov 12 (SocialNews.XYZ) The IANS CVoter exit poll on Bihar Assembly elections was the only poll to get the numbers right and even the vote percentage garnered by each party contesting the elections was bang on target.

The standard margin of error in the state polls as per the IANS CVoter exit poll was +/- 3 per cent.

In the IANS CVoter exit poll, the vote percentage predicted for NDA was 37.7 per cent and the final tally by Election Commission of India (ECI) shows 37.4 per cent.

Among the NDA constituents, BJP's vote share was projected at 20.4 per cent while the ECI tally was 19.5 per cent. The JD-U vote share was predicted at 15.1 per cent while the ECI results came in at 15.4 per cent.

The VIP was predicted to get 1.2 per cent votes while the final tally was 1.5 per cent. The exit poll showed 1 per cent for HAM(S) and the ECI result was the same at 1 per cent.

For the Mahagathbandhan, the IANS CVoter exit poll predicted a vote share of 36.3 per cent while the final count was 37 per cent.

The RJD got 23.1 per cent votes compared to the exit poll prediction of 22.9 per cent, Congress got 9.5 per cent votes as compared to the poll estimate of 9.4 per cent, CPI (ML) Liberation got 3 per cent of the votes as compared to the prediction of 2.8 per cent, CPI got 0.8 per cent, the same as predicted, and the CPI-M got 0.6 per cent votes as against 0.4 per cent predicted.

In the others column, LJP got 5.7 per cent votes compared to 6.8 per cent predicted by the exit poll, while others got 19.9 per cent as against 19.2 per cent predicted.

The total vote share percentage in the others column was 25.6 per cent compared to the 26 per cent predicted in the exit poll.
