Actor and producer Tusshar Kapoor just took to his social media profile and lend his support to Local For Diwali initiative and urged everyone to buy clothes crafted by Indian artisans on the festive season.
Tusshar Kapoor shared a picture on his social media, a fine Kurta made by Indian artisan for his son, Lakshay and wrote, “In support of our weavers, artisans, textile companies & textile establishments, let’s go #LocalforDiwali. Your support will help resurrect many opportunities for those in need. I got this kids kurta for my son made in Mulmul, a soft and fine weave of cotton”
“It was almost around 100 yrs ago when Bengali weavers first weaved Mulmul, one of the prized imports from India to the lands of England and Scotland. Thank you Honorable minister @smritiirani ji for this great initiative! #LocalforDiwali”
Meanwhile on the work front, Tusshar Kapoor is part of Laxmii, which releases today on Disney Plus Hotstar. The comedy-horror film is written and directed by Raghava Lawrence in his Hindi directorial debut. It is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film Kanchana and stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film will be released in cinemas with the selected overseas markets in India and was stream digitally on 9 November 2020.
