​Akshay Kumar Shares A BTS From Laxmii, Right Before Its Release

Just hours before the digital release of Laxmii, superstar Akshay Kumar shares a BTS video from the sets and expresses his heartfelt gratitude toward the director of the film, Raghava Lawrence.

Laxmii, an official remake of Kanchana is written written and directed by Raghava Lawrence in his Hindi directorial debut, starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.

In the video, Akshay Kumar is seen sporting his iconic red-sari and getting ready to give a shot and the filmmaker Lawrence is seen putting the Tilak/Bindi on actor’s forehead.

The film was earlier titled Laxmmi Bomb, but it was altered due to legal notice sent to the filmmakers on behalf of Shri Rajput Karni Sena. According to the notice, the film's title was considered to be disrespectful to Goddess Laxmi, thereby hurting Hindu community's sentiments. The notice also demanded a change in the film's title and said that the current one sends out a wrong message to the society, it is now released as Laxmii.

The film also stars Ayesha Raza Mishra, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, Tarun Arora, Ashwini Kalsekar, Manu Rishi Chadha, Babu Antony, Mir Sarwar, Rajesh Sharma and Muskaan Khubchandani.
