Focus on quality, build trust: PM’s mantra to IIT-D graduates

New Delhi, Nov 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday advised IIT-Delhi graduates to focus on quality and make their innovations work on a mass scale while building long-term trust in the market.

"You need to work with a new mantra for the future -- focus on quality, never compromise, ensure scalability, make your innovations work on a mass scale, assure reliability, and build long-term trust in the market," he said in his virtual address at Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi's 51st convocation.

Today, he asserted, India is committed to provide its youngsters the ease of doing business so that they can bring change in the lives of crores of Indians through innovation.

Stressing the importance of technology, Modi also pointed out that in the post- pandemic world, virtual reality was becoming the working reality.

"The nation has seen how technology can provide good governance and reach the poor and the needy in the last few years," the Prime Minister said while adding that the work of these IIT graduates will give global recognition to Indian products in future.

Hurdles that stopped technology industry from working from home or for that matter working from anywhere are getting removed in the post-pandemic world.

"Laws of the last decade cannot dictate the future in the next. Thus, in the new decade with new aspirations, we've brought new laws... today, India is one of the countries charging the lowest corporate tax in the world," Modi added.

In a push for 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', Modi told the fresh IIT passouts that while globalisation was important, self-reliance was equally important too.

"Under the National Infrastructure Pipeline, we're investing over Rs 1 lakh crore. We're building state-of-the-art infrastructure in the entire country that will fulfil the needs of the present and the future," the Prime Minister pointed out.
