Gurugram woman shot in head in robbery bid dies during treatment
Gurugram, Nov 5 (SocialNews.XYZ) A 26-year-old woman who was allegedly shot by three unidentified assailants in a bid to snatch her Hyundai Creta car died on Thursday during treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram.

According to the police the body of the deceased woman has been kept in the mortuary for medical examination. However, even two days after the incident the police have failed to find any clue about the absconding criminals.

A team from the Sector-65 police station is probing the matter along with the crime branch of sector-40.

 

"We are investigating the matter from different angles. CCTV footage of the incident spot is being scanned. The police also suspect that besides robbery it could be a case of personal enmity. However, the woman's family members do not suspect anyone behind the incident. Further investigation is on said," said Preet Pal Sangwan, ACP (crime).

The crime took place on the southern peripheral road (SPR) near Sector-65 at around 11.15 pm on Tuesday night. When the woman Pooja Sharma was travelling along with her friend Sagar Manchanda (29) in his Hyundai Creta.

When the duo reached the stretch the criminals who were wearing masks came from the front of their SUV and had fired on them in bid to snatch the SUV. Sagar was unhurt in the incident while the accused had shot Pooja in the head from close range.

Sagar took her to a private hospital in a critical condition. The woman was critical since the admission in the hospital and was on a ventilator.

The police have registered a case of attempt to murder (307), Arms Act 25 (1-B)(A) and common intention (34) of the IPC at Sector-65 police station.
