Patna, Nov 3 (SocialNews.XYZ) In a bid to inspire voters of Bihar, the Election Commission (EC) has posted some inspirational stories on its social media platforms and one of them is the story of conjoined twin sisters Saba and Farah.
Saba and Farah are physically challenged girls of Patna with their heads fused to each other since birth. Several medical experts have inspected them on various occassions but were unable to seperate them due to extreme complications.
EC has given postal ballot option for them to use their voting rights.
Both Saba and Farah appealed to the people of Bihar and said: "If we can use our voting rights and cast vote why can't you. We appeal to people of Bihar to come out of their houses and use voting rights in large numbers."
EC considers the conjoined twins as one person and accordingly, one voter identity card was issued for them in last Assembly election. As a result, one of them directs other to press the selected EVM button. They are unable to see pressing the button of EVM machine together. Keeping this in view, EC has now given two separate voter ID cards to them.
Saba and Farah are residents of Samanpura locality under Digha constituency in Patna and they were happy to receive separate voter ID cards.
