A petition filed in Supreme Court against Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's press conference detailing complaint to CJI Bobde against Justice NV Ramana and judges of AP High Court. Says "unsubstantiated allegations" made against SC Judge.
Here are the grounds for the petition:
- Because the act and deed of the respondent is an attempt to tarnish the Majesty of the Highest Court of the Country.
- Because the Press conference above mentioned and making unsubstantiated allegations against an honorable judge of this Hon'ble Court, alleging corruption and bias is prohibited by the clear provisions and mandate of the Constitution of India as provided under Article(s) 121 and 211 of the Indian Constitution. Wherein it has been mandated by the Constitution that no discussion shall take place in Parliament or in the state legislature with respect to the conduct of any judge of Supreme Court or the High Court in the discharge of his duty.
