Amazon Prime Video is out with its new line-up for releases, and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Durgavati, gets a release date and first look poster.
Durgavati, directed by G Ashok, is a thrilling, scary ride that tells the story of an innocent Government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving powerful forces.
Bhumi Pednekar took to her social media and dropped a spooky poster and confirmed the deeds on the project. She captioned it, “What’s behind that door? The film is presented by Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series, and is an Abundantia Entertainment production.
Durgavati is said to be the Hindi remake of Telugu movie Bhaagamathie which originally starred Baahubali star, Anushka Shetty. It is a story about a female IAS officer Chanchala Reddy who is imprisoned in a haunted house. Eventually, things take a drastic turn when she gets possessed by a spirit. The film was a big hit at the box office.
The film also stars Mahie Gill and Arshad Warsi in key roles.
