Owing to the lockdown regulations, quite a few Telugu films have gone the OTT way. Very recently, Nani's 'V' released directly on Amazon Prime Video. Sai Dharam Tej's Solo Brathuke So Better will also be joining the list soon as Zee5 which bagged the direct to digital rights is planning to release the film in the month of October.
If the latest buzz is to go by, Nithiin's Rang De might be getting a direct OTT release.
Apparently, Amazon Prime Video made an offer to Sithara Entertainments who are bankrolling Rang De and a final decision will be taken soon.
The teaser of the film mentioned that the film will be out in theaters next Sankranthi, but if the producers find Amazon Prime's offer feasible, the film might well be out on the digital streaming platform.
Rang De has Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. Venky Atluri is directing the light-hearted rom-com.
