New Delhi: Low – cost pharmacy comes up at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib #Gallery

New Delhi: People queue up outside the ‘Bala Pritam Dawakhana’ - a ‘no profit no loss’ dispensary opened by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Committee (DGMC) in the premises of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, in New Delhi on Sep 8, 2020. The pharmacy offers medicines at much cheaper prices as compared to common medical stores. It is functional between 10 am to 8 pm but the Gurudwara authorities are planning to extend the timings. According to Head of the Gurdwara Sikh Management Committee Manjit Singh Sirsa, who decided to open the dispensary as he realised that during the period of COVID-19 pandemic people not only need food but medicines as well, the dispensary offered its services to almost 1 lakh people on its first day.
