Hyderabad: Media personnel turned away from demolition site of Telangana secretariat #Gallery
Hyderabad: Media personnel turned away by police as they arrived at the site of demolition of the buildings of the old Telangana secretariat to build a new complex, in Hyderabad on July 27, 2020. Five vehicles carrying photographers and journalists were taken from BRK Bhavan, the temporary secretariat, to the demolition site. Despite of a media channel last week filing a petition in the High Court challenging the restrictions on media persons wanting to cover the demolition work, following which Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy said that the government will take media persons in the evening to show them the demolition work and clearing of debris, the media personnel were turned away from the demolition site.
