It is with immense satisfaction and relief I learned the Union Cabinet's decisions under your leadership yesterday.
The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund of Rs. 1 lakh crore would give a big boost to the agricultural sector. Farmers would thereby get medium to long term loans for investment in projects after they harvest their crops. Ours is an agriculture-based country and a scheme like this would have a long-lasting effect on this sector and a great relief to the farmers.
The other decision is developing affordable rental housing complexes for urban migrants and poor under the PM Awas Yojana Urban. The plight of migrant workers because of the immediate effect of the COVID pandemic has been the icon of tragedy this season. This decision of having rental complexes would be a long term benefit for urban migrants.
Another decision is to extend PM Garib Kalyan Yojana till November 2020. A massive 81 crores people would benefit from this. Five kilos of rice or wheat and one kilo of dal would go a long way in addressing the hunger of the poor.
I compliment your good selves wholeheartedly and thank you from the bottom of my heart for these large-hearted and lasting schemes for the poor.
