Los Angeles, July 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rapper Vanilla Ice is gearing up to perform at a 2,500-capacity concert in Texas despite the rise in COVID-19 cases in the state. However, his plan for a Fourth of July concert amid the lockdown has not gone down well with people. He is being severely trolled on social media.
"I can't wait to get back to this. The 90s were the best. We didn't have coronavirus, or cell phones, or computers. We had 5.0's, blockbuster, Beavis and Butthead, Wayne's world, Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan," Vanilla Ice wrote on Instagram, along with footage of a past concert, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"And Mortal Kombat is still better than fortnight but we got out of the house, We danced, we invented house parties in the 90s. The last of the great decades," he added.
The announcement of the concert in the time of COVID-19, however, is being severely criticised, given the timing.
One user wrote on social media: "Imagine you live but you have to admit you put your body in severe disrepair to the point of being intubated and contracting like 5 new chronic diseases because you had to go to the vanilla ice concert," one said.
Another said: "Getting the coronavirus at a Vanilla Ice concert has to be one of the lamest ways to die."
A third user commented: "Dear Jesus help me understand the cultural collision where someone will die to see Vanilla Ice.
