Solksjaer hails Greenwood as 'special talent' after Brighton win

London, July 1 (SocialNews.XYZ) Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lavished praise on young forward Mason Greenwood after the latter scored during the team's 3-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday night.

Greenwood scored the team's opener in the 16th minute while Bruno Fernandes smashed a brace as Manchester United recorded a comfortable win away from home.

"He's a special talent, a special kid that we are going to look after and try to develop into a top top player," Solskjaer told Sky Sports after the end of the match.

"He's doing well now but he is still young and has things to learn. He knows that but we have a special talent there we have to nurture."

"He's getting better. You can see clearly that he's maturing and improving, he's only 18 still so we will see more from him.

"I've said it throughout the year that as long as we can get him faced up in and around the box he'll create chances for us but in this game his hold-up play and his link-up play and general movement was fantastic as well," the Norwegian added.

Meanwhile, Fernandes also added two more goals to his tally to continue his fine form since joining the club in the January transfer window. He has now featured in eight Premier League matches and scored five goals and assisted three times.

Fernandes' link-up with Paul Pogba has been working well for United in the last few games but the Portuguese stated it's not about just him and the Frenchman as others are also doing well for the 'Red Devils'.

"I don't want to talk too much about me and Paul Pogba, we are happy to play together but I am happy to play with everyone," Fernandes told Sky Sports after the match.

"We can combine together, we have qualities, but we know that we have teammates who can do well.

"The most important thing is the three points but we played well and the result was good. We didn't concede again which is important. David de Gea made two or three amazing saves, we are very happy."
