New Delhi, June 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Centre has decided to focus on the containment zones in the national capital for the next few days, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on Monday.
The MHA said that a door-to-door survey will be conducted, with special thrust on the containment zones. The ministry added that it will be done on priority basis by July 6. The date has now been extended as the number of containment zones in Delhi has gone up to a whopping 435.
However, the survey won't be restricted to the containment zones alone. The MHA asserted that this exercise will be followed by a door-to-door survey in the entire city.
The national capital has been grappling with the outbreak of the pandemic. The Centre had to step in after Delhi government's handling of the situation came under sharp criticism from the Supreme Court, which described the prevailing state in the national capital as "horrendous".
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), in its report submitted to the Delhi government after its visit to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital, has suggested that services of final year MBBS students can be availed if there is shortage of hands.
