Actor Kartik Aaryan took to her social media profile and shared an adorable picture with his pets and urged everyone to raises their voices against the controversial dog meat festival in Yulin city of Guangxi Zhuang, an autonomous region in mainland China.
The 'Love Aaj Kal' actor put out a picture on Instagram wherein he raised his voice against the consumption of dog meat. In the picture, Aaryan is seen holding his two pet dogs in his arms as he smiles while looking into the camera.
He captioned it, “Kartik Aaryan - Har saal Dil Todte hain yeh Yulin Festival waale #YulinKMKB #StopYulin”
Meanwhile, in spite of the government's drive to discourage consumption of wildlife and pets for meat due to health reasons, the controversial dog meat festival has kicked off in mainland China.
According to the New York Post, the 10-day annual festival in the south-western city of Yulin usually attracts thousands of visitors, many of whom buy dogs for the pot that are on display in cramped cages.
Meanwhile on the work front, Kartik got his kitty filled with two massive projects, both being the sequels, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The film also stars Tabu, and Kiara Advani, it is a standalone sequel of the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa directed by Priyadarshan.
Dostana 2 is directed by Collin D'Cunha and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apoorva Mehta. Also Featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani in lead roles. It is a standalone sequel of the 2008 film Dostana directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
