​Madhur Bhandarkar To Venture Into Bengali Films With Avijatrik

National Award Winning filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, who is noted for parallel and hard hitting movies, such as Chandni Bar, Page 3, Traffic Signal, Fashion and more, is venturing into regional cinema with his home production.

Known for making Bollywood drama’s highlighting social issues, Madhur Bhandarkar is venturing into Bengali films, he will be producing forthcoming Avijatrik, the first look for the film is out.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the deeds and first look of the film on social media. He shared, “FIRST LOOK... #MadhurBhandarkar ventures into #Bengali films... First look poster of #Avijatrik... Directed by Subhrajit Mitra... Produced by Gaurang Jalan and Madhur Bhandarkar”

It is also reported that Anoushka Shankar, the famous sitar player and composer, has been roped to compose music for the opening song of the film Avijatrik.

Avijatrik, directed by Subhrajit Mitra is based on the concluding part of Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay’s epic novel, Aparajito, on which Apu trilogy was based. Incidentally, the legendary Pandit Ravishankar, Anoushka’s father, had composed music for Satyajit Ray’s Apu trilogy.
