Uma Maheshwar Ugra Roopasya is one such film which is tailor-made for digital audience. Owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, the makers of the film had stalled the plans of theatrical release and are releasing the film directly on OTT platforms.
The latest update is that leading digital streaming platform Netflix has acquired the digital right of UMUR for Rs 4 crores. Starring Satya Dev in the lead role, the film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 2.5 crores.
The makers have pocketed profits with a direct OTT release. The digital release date will be announced soon.
