Today is World Environment Day, many celebrities have joined the campaign #OneWishForTheEarth initiated by Bhumi Pednekar including actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana took to his social media handle. He shared a video and expressed his wish for the earth would be to save water. The ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ actor has urged people to do their bit and save water as it is a vital resource.
The post read, “My #OneWishForTheEarth would be that all of us should use water consciously. It is an extremely vital resource and everyone should do their bit in saving water at all times @bhumipednekar amazing initiative #ClimateWarrior #WorldEnvironmentDay.
Actress Bhumi Pednekar started the campaign #OneWishForTheEarth. In the course of lockdown, the actor has become a Climate Warrior. She has kick-started with a campaign ‘OneWishForTheEarth’. The motive behind the campaign is to create awareness about climate change and also to protect the environment. She has raised the question to her fans about their wish for the earth.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in his upcoming film 'Gulabo Sitabo'. The film will directly release on an OTT streaming platform instead of the theatres.
The film is a story of eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo who reside in Uttar Pradesh. It is a story full of local humor and songs depicting day to day struggle of a common man.
The shooting of the film began in June last year and the film was all set to be released in April 2020 but due to coronavirus the release date was postponed and finally, the film is getting a digital premiere in over 200 countries.
The film is directed by 'Piku' fame Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. It has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The film will be digitally released on Amazon Prime Video on June 12.
