New Delhi, June 4 (SocialNews.XYZ) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amantullah Khan said on Thursday that while the Delhi Police have made former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain the mastermind behind the communal riots in northeast Delhi in February this year, they have not looked for the actual rioters, claiming that Hussain has been punished for being a Muslim.
"The Delhi Police have made Tahir Hussain the mastermind behind the Delhi riots in its charge-sheet, while the entire nation knows who were behind the riots. The police have not even inquired about the actual rioters. I think Tahir Hussain is being punished for being a Muslim," Khan tweeted in Hindi.
The Delhi Police, in its fresh charge-sheet filed in the murder case of IB staffer Ankit Sharma during the riots, have claimed that the former AAP councillor was "leading the mob from his house and also from the Masjid near Chand Bagh Pulia, giving it a communal colour".
The charge-sheet said that his location near "the spot where Ankit Sharma was brutally murdered on February 25 speaks of his evil intentions which ended with the murder."
