'Aarya' has been directed by 'Neerja' fame director Ram Madhvani and is a story set against a Rajasthan backdrop. It is reportedly a remake of Dutch series 'Penoza'. Sushmita will be seen playing the lead role in the show.
The actress was last seen in bollywood film 'No Problem' in 2010. She made a comeback on screen with a Bengali art film Nirbaak directed by Srijit Mukherji in the year 2015.
