Despite severe trials and 2 months of convincing the authorities still they've been so adamant and rough that they are not considering the pain of students and gave no response which led NSUI to stand with the students against the conducting of online exams as during this pandemic outbreak there is a huge paucity of the resources and many students even fail to fill the examination forms due to the non- availability of the smartphones, laptop, no internet access or any connectivity in their hometowns. Also, there are 40% of students in DU from reserved categories are not well equipped about this and should be put forward in consideration.
In this regard NSUI as a responsible student's organization started a petition (www.chng.it/xXSh9j6d) against conducting the exams vigorously without students' and teachers' consultation. In this attempt as of now 1,15,000 students have signed the petition. Despite this, many leading educational institutions like IIT and Amity University have chosen to promote the students based on their previous academic semester's performance. It feels appalling to know that how a University that has never been able to conduct other miscellaneous daily operations is adamant about conducting online examinations.
We look forward to hearing a pragmatic response to such a circumstance by the authority.
