As per reliable sources, the digital rights of Anushka's' 'Nishabdham' were sold for Rs 26 crores. Amazon prime had bagged the rights and will be directly releasing the film mid June. 'Nishabdham' will be the first Telugu biggie to release directly on Amazon Prime.
Also, it is being said that many Tollywood producers are interested in striking a deal with OTT platforms.
Dil Raju has apparently rejected a Rs 90 crores deal from Amazon prime for his two upcoming films, 'V' the movie, and Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab.
Uppena, Orey Bujjiga, Miss India, and UMUR are said to be the other films which will certainly be releasing on digital platforms directly. Respective deals are being finalized accordingly.
Sharwanamd's Sreekaram, and Ram Pothineni's 'Red' are not getting viable deals from digital platforms and that is the reason why the makers are not interested in digital release, say reports.
